Wanderers are one step away from Wembley in the Papa Johns Trophy, but how much have they made in prize money so far?
The Whites beat League One rivals Portsmouth in the quarter-final following a 1-0 victory at the University of Bolton Stadium, with Jon Dadi Bodvarsson getting the decisive goal.
Ian Evatt’s men also overcame Barrow and Manchester United Under-21s in the knockout rounds after finishing top of Group B.
They will now face North West neighbours Accrington at the Wham Stadium in the semi-final on Wednesday, February 22 (8pm).
Papa Johns Trophy prize money
Each side receives a £20,000 participation fee for being involved in the competition regardless of how far they reach.
Clubs were also awarded £10,000 for a win and £5,000 for a draw in the group stage, with Wanderers beating Crewe and Leeds Under-21s as well as drawing at Tranmere.
The prize money then increased to £20,000 for a win in the first knockout round and again to £40,000 in the last 16.
Wanderers’ quarter-final win has earned the club a further £50,000, taking their overall total to £155,000 at this stage.
They will also earn an extra £50,000 if they make it past Accrington, which increases to £100,000 for winning the final. Plymouth and Cheltenham will face off in the other semi-final.
Clubs will also receive additional fees for televised matches, with the semi-finals and final set to be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
This means that Wanderers could finish with a total of £235,000 in prize money should they lift the trophy, as well as extra TV revenue.
Rotherham won the Papa Johns Trophy last season after twice coming from behind to beat Sutton 4-2 in extra time.
The Whites won the competition in 1989 following a memorable 4-1 win against Torquay. Under-18s manager Julian Darby was on target against the Gulls that day.
