Six months on from the B Team's first fixture, we take a look at some of Wanderers' young talents to keep an eye on.

Luke Hutchinson

Hutchinson is highly rated at Wanderers and has impressed since the launch of the B Team over the summer.

The young goalkeeper has delivered a series of impressive performances in the Central League and is also comfortable with his feet.

He spent time on loan at Atherton Colls last season and recently headed to Bamber Bridge as he continues his development.

Speaking earlier this season, Matt Craddock said: “We have some really good keepers ahead of him at the moment so Luke has to be patient and keep working hard, and that is what he does.

“He has no ego. He comes into work every day and wants to get better, and that is fantastic for him and a real testament to him.”

Max Conway

Conway made a strong start to the season in the Central League, impressing at both ends of the pitch from the wing-back role.

The youngster is a good dribbler and makes the most of his opportunities to get forward and join the attack.

He joined non-league outfit Buxton on loan a couple of months ago and even featured in a televised FA Cup tie against Ipswich.

The Bucks must be pleased with what they have seen from Conway, whose loan has been extended for a further month.

Nelson Khumbeni

Khumbeni performances sometimes go under the radar but he plays an important role in the middle of the pitch.

The 20-year-old is comfortable in possession and also offers extra protection to the young Whites’ backline.

Khumbeni made his first-team debut in a 5-1 win against Salford in the Carabao Cup earlier this season, coming off the bench for the final seven minutes.

He was also named on the bench for the League One trip to Shrewsbury last month along with team-mate Gerald Sithole.

Conor Carty

Carty was one of the more eye-catching signings for the B Team over the summer, having represented the Republic of Ireland at youth level.

The former Wolves youngster has already got on the scoresheet several times in the Central League this season, including a clinical finish against Blackpool yesterday.

Carty also scored a thumping half-volley on his first-team debut against Tranmere in the Papa Johns Trophy back in September.

He has got a taste of National League football more recently during loan spells with Oldham and Gateshead.

Matty Grivosti

Grivosti joined the Whites’ B Team ranks from Warrington over the summer and has made a positive start to life at Lostock.

The versatile wideman has been used both as a wing-back and in a more advanced role at times this season.

He has also benefitted from loan spells at Yeovil and more recently Radcliffe, with his stay at Stainton Park being extended.

Grivosti made an impact off the bench against Blackpool yesterday, linking up well with Sam Inwood on the left flank.
