WANDERERS (3-4-1-2)
JAMES TRAFFORD…7.
Came up with an important save at the end, underlining his class. Had not been seriously tested to that point but kept his concentration.
EOIN TOAL…7.
Turned on the afterburners to stop one Pompey break impressively in the second half and generally defended well throughout the night.
RICARDO SANTOS…6.5.
Looked tired towards the end – but there won’t be a Bolton fan around who isn’t glad to see him back out there and doing what he does.
GEORGE JOHNSTON…7.
Another impressive 90 minutes for the in-form defender, who became more important as the game wore on and the penalty box needed more protection.
KIERAN SADLIER…6.
Been a while since we have seen him playing on the right and put some good crosses into the box in the first half. Defensively, he started to struggle after the break.
JOSH SHEEHAN…6.5.
Had to get through a lot of defensive work and close down space, which doesn’t play to his strengths. On the ball his work was a bit hit and miss.
MJ WILLIAMS…7.5.
Revelled in the scrappiness of it all and put in some meaty challenges to assert his dominance in midfield. Solid stuff.
OWEN BECK…6.
Like Sadlier, plenty to admire going forward but once Pompey upped their game in the second half seemed to buckle a bit under the extra physicality.
ELIAS KACHUNGA…7.5.
Very compact and tidy on the ball, closed down defenders to the bitter end and might have had a penalty in the first half too. A great shift. MOM
JON DADI BODVARSSON…7.5.
Some really intelligent touches and bits of link-up play which show he is getting back to form after a stuttering season. The front two worked so well.
DION CHARLES…7.
Ran out of steam a little in the end but looked razor sharp for the first 45 minutes and is a big part of why Wanderers are in the last four of the competition.
