Wanderers’ kick off the festive period with a tricky fixture against Paul Warne’s in-form Derby County side.
Ian Evatt’s men are currently fifth in the League One table – just a point above the Rams at this stage.
The Whites enter the game on the back of a 2-0 win against Exeter City thanks to first-half goals from Conor Bradley and Dion Charles.
Meanwhile, Derby are unbeaten in their last seven league matches and recorded an emphatic 4-0 win against Forest Green in their last outing, with David McGoldrick scoring a hat trick.
When and where is the game being played?
The fixture takes place at the University of Bolton Stadium on Tuesday, December 27 (3.00pm). The match was initially scheduled for Boxing Day but it was moved after being selected for TV coverage.
Wanderers haven’t faced Derby in the league since April 2019. The East Midlands club ran out 4-0 winners after a brilliant display by current England star Mason Mount.
The Whites’ last win in the fixture came several months prior when Craig Noone got the decisive goal at the UniBol.
