The World Cup is the most prestigious tournament on the planet, and this year’s event has already provided plenty of talking points.
There have been a few surprises along the way, with Germany and Belgium both crashing out in the group stage.
But from a Wanderers perspective, one of the best things about the tournament so far has been seeing many former favourites reunited.
The likes of Stuart Holden, Fernando Hierro, Radhi Jaidi and Johan Elmander have been working as pundits in Qatar, keeping a close eye on the action.
Whites fans might have also noticed a familiar face on the bench when England took on Senegal last night, with El Hadji Diouf now serving as an advisor to his country.
And Youri Djorkaeff has been taking in the action in Qatar as part of his role as a senior football advisor to FIFA.
Here are some of our favourite pictures from social media since the start of the tournament
Stelios and Jaidi played alongside each other at Wanderers between 2004 and 2006.
Jaidi and Hierro were both part of the star-studded team assembled by Sam Allardyce.
Stelios and Hierro were two very popular figures among Bolton supporters.
Holden and Elmander shared a dressing room at Wanderers between 2010 and 2011.

Diouf looks like he could still do a job if this picture is anything to go by...

Djorkaeff posing with Ecuador's Djorkaeff Reasco, who was actually named after him!
Ravi d'avoir pu enfin rencontrer Djorkaeff Reasco @Djorkaeff31. Honoré et très touché que ses parents aient choisi de lui donner mon nom.💛🙏🏻 pic.twitter.com/HAR60nJdCr

For those with a keen interest in the national side, England are back in action on Saturday, December 10 when they take on holders France in the quarter-final (KO 7pm).
Didier Deschamps' side reached this stage following a 3-1 win against Poland, with Kylian Mbappe bagging a brace and Olivier Giroud also getting on the scoresheet.
