WANDERERS have been hit with a £4,000 fine from the FA for failing to control their players during the 2-1 win against Fleetwood earlier this month.
Several players were involved in an incident in front of the technical area, sparked by a foul by Fleetwood’s Shaun Rooney on Owen Beck.
Referee David Webb produced a yellow card to Rooney – one of six on the day.
Fleetwood initially denied wrongdoing but were subsequently found guilty by an independent disciplinary committee.
A statement from the FA read: “Fleetwood Town FC and Bolton Wanderers FC have been fined £4,000 each for breaching FA Rule E20.1 during their EFL League One game on Saturday, November 19, 2022.
“Bolton Wanderers FC and Fleetwood FC respectively admitted and denied that they failed to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion during the 47th minute.
“An independent regulatory commission found Fleetwood FC to have committed the breach during a subsequent hearing and imposed these sanctions on the clubs.”
