Wanderers’ B Team youngster Max Conway has joined non-league outfit Buxton on loan until January 3.
Conway has impressed for the B Team since the start of the campaign, making the most of every opportunity to get forward and join the attack.
The full-back is now eligible for Buxton’s televised FA Cup second-round tie at Ipswich on Sunday (KO 5pm).
Speaking over the summer, Ian Evatt said: “We also have huge belief in Max Conway. We think for a young player he’s got a real chance.
“We think he’s got a long way to go before he gets to be a first team regular for us, but we see the raw materials there and the potential.”
Conway signed his first professional deal at the UniBol over the summer after spending a couple of months travelling with the senior squad to away games.
“It was a great experience being in and around the first team, travelling to away games and things like that which push you on even more to make the breakthrough,” he told the club after putting pen to paper.
“I was on the bench in the Papa John’s Trophy a few times last season as well, without getting the chance to get on.”
He added: “I think the project going on at Bolton is as good as anywhere. It’s a winning environment and I think the only way is up from here.”
Buxton are currently 18th in the National League North, having taken 21 points from their opening 17 fixtures.
The Bucks recorded a 2-0 victory against Merthyr Town in the FA Cup opening round to set up this weekend's trip to Portman Road.
Conway becomes one of several B Team players currently out on loan, with Conor Carty recently making the move to Gateshead and Connor Stanley heading to FC United of Manchester. Adam Senior is also at Telford United, while Arran Pettifer is nearby at Atherton Colls.
