Wanderers boss Ian Evatt faces a reunion with former club Barrow in the Papa Johns Trophy last 32 tonight.
The Whites enter the game in high spirits following a late 2-1 win against Fleetwood at the weekend thanks to goals from Conor Bradley and Dapo Afolayan.
Evatt’s men made it to the last 16 last season but missed out on a place in the quarter final following a 1-0 defeat against Hartlepool United at Victoria Park.
Team news
Eoin Toal will feature but Kieran Lee is a doubt for Wanderers after missing the trip to Fleetwood through illness.
Amadou Bakayoko is still unavailable, while Kieran Sadlier is keen to play just 24 hours after becoming a new father.
The visitors have been boosted by the return of midfielder Sam Foley, who has missed the last couple of games through injury.
However, Chelsea loanee Sam McClelland is facing a spell out of action and Robbie Gotts also remains sidelined.
Opposition lowdown
Pete Wild took charge at Holket Street over the summer, succeeding former Bolton coach Phil Brown.
The Bluebirds are currently fourth in the League Two table – having won 11 of their opening 19 fixtures since the start of the campaign.
Wild’s side recorded a 3-1 win against Hartlepool in their last outing thanks to goals from Josh Gordon, Ben Whitfield and Billy Waters.
Head-to-head
Wanderers have only faced Barrow three times in their history, with a record of two wins and one draw.
Evatt’s men recorded a late 1-0 victory when the sides last met at the UniBol in February 2021, with Shaun Miller scoring in stoppage time.
The Whites’ other win against Barrow came in an FA Cup tie in 1991, with Tony Philliskirk getting the decisive goal.
