Wanderers' B Team youngster Conor Carty has joined National League side Oldham Athletic on a month-long youth loan.
Carty linked up with the Whites over the summer following his release by Premier League outfit Wolves.
The young forward spent five years at Molineux after he was spotted while playing for Irish club St Patrick’s Athletic.
He made 16 appearances last season as Wolves’ Under-23 side won promotion to the top tier of youth football and is also a Republic of Ireland youth international, having featured at the 2019 Euro Under-17 Championship.
Carty has impressed for the newly-launched B Team in recent months, already managing to get on the scoresheet several times.
The 20-year-old was on tagret during his first-team debut against Tranmere Rovers in the Papa Johns Trophy last month, finding the bottom corner with an emphatic first-time strike from outside the box.
He is the latest member of the B Team squad to head out on a youth loan, with Arran Pettifer at Atherton Colls and Stanley at Bamber Bridge.
Oldham are currently 18th in the National League table as they aim to bounce back from last season’s relegation out of the Football League.
Former Everton defender David Unsworth recently took charge at Boundary Park following Josh Sheridan’s departure.
Unsworth's side have drawn their last couple of league games against Scunthorpe and Maidenhead and will be aiming to return to winning ways when they host Yeovil Town on Saturday afternoon (KO 3pm).
