WANDERERS (3-4-1-2).
JOEL DIXON…7.5.
A nice retort to the critics. Made some key saves, used the ball well, and was on his toes to sweep up behind the back three a couple of times.
GETHIN JONES…6.
Once he got to grips with the movement of a fluid front line he had no problems. Got forward infrequently but didn’t have as much space as he has recently.
WILL AIMSON…6.
Took some time to settle but eventually looked more than comfortable. Made one really important block in front of his own goal.
JACK IREDALE…5.5.
Leeds had the most joy early on attacking the space between him and Declan John on the left. Once the gaps were sealed up, he was able to play his natural game.
LLOYD ISGROVE…6.5.
Great to see him back. More of a direct, head-down runner than Bradley but his link-ups with Elias Kachunga in the first half were some of the highlights.
AARON MORLEY…6.
Only saw flickers of his passing skills, which was more the pity. Always involved, though, and hopefully spurs him on to something more.
JOSH SHEEHAN…6.
Shame he had to step out with a back injury at half time. We saw a few flashes of his creativity on his first home game for nearly a year.
DECLAN JOHN…5.5.
Did not make the most dignified exit – and shared those early problems with Iredale. But John did push forward and put some pressure on the Leeds goal.
KYLE DEMPSEY…8.
Of the starting line-up, the man who looked most keen to make an impact. Closed down everything he could, tried to keep the tempo up too.
JON DADI BODVARSSON…7.
Neat finish in the first half and some nice link-up play with the midfield too. Rolled his ankle after half time but will hopefully be fit for Accrington.
ELIAS KACHUNGA…6.
Didn’t make much of an indent on the Leeds goal but, fair’s fair, he contributed plenty in the build-up as Bolton tried to establish their lead.
Subs: Lee 7, 46 (for Sheehan) – Raised the stakes after half time.
Bakayoko 6.5, 53 (for Bodvarsson) – Turned his night around quickly.
Beck 6, 59 (for John) – Needed minutes. Went close with one effort.
Bradley 8, 59 (for Isgrove) – Immediately made a difference.
Sadlier 7.5, 60 (for Kachunga) – New role. Looked a threat.
Not used: Johnston, Charles.
Leeds United (4-2-3-1): Robles; Drameh, Debayo, Spencer, Moore; McAlmont, Gyabi; McGurk, Perkins, Allen; Joseph.
Subs: Dean 60 (for McGurk), Snowdon 78 (for McAlmont), Coleman 84 (for Spencer), Miller 84 (for Perkins) Not used: Christy, Thomas, Buchan.
Attendance: 2,936.
Referee: Peter Wright – 8/10. Won’t have many easier nights.
