Wanderers came from behind to earn a 2-2 draw at Tranmere – but missed out on a bonus point after losing on penalties.
Lloyd Isgrove, making his first appearance since last November after returning from injury, had a spot kick saved by Mateusz Hewelt.
Kieron Morris and Paul Lewis were both on target for the hosts during the first half, but Kieran Sadlier pulled one back after the break.
And Conor Carty scored a superb equaliser in stoppage time on his first-team debut after impressing for the B Team in recent weeks.
Here is what supporters had to say about the game on social media
Carty take a bow!

Screamer

Been crying out for a striker with instinctive finishing. Conor Carty has just put himself on the scene.

Penalties are a lottery, not bothered about losing a shootout in the group stage. Choosing to focus on the fight back with a much better 2nd half performance, despite being no where near our best with 10 changes. Leeds U21 left to come, should progress from here with ease #bwfc

Very poor performance all round.

Only Isgrove & Sadlier (+ Carty) came out with a performance above 5.
Sheehan was M.O.M for me.. He oozes class, shame for the rest

Positives, character to keep going to the end, Sheehan and isgrove looked bright, excellent Carty goal, minutes for Beck, didn't lose. Negatives, awful keeping, John is only a LWB, dapo still bang out of form, soft without MJ in midfield #BWFC

Disappointing result, but Good recovery in the 2nd half

Awful game, no need for a meltdown though, great debut goal from Carty
— Superman KOTW (@chazzerhart) September 20, 2022
Didn’t deserve anything from that, so will take the point #bwfc
