Wanderers have been linked with a move for Queens Park Rangers forward Macauley Bonne in the final days of the transfer window.
The Whites have already brought in Jack Iredale, Conor Bradley and Eoin Toal this summer, as well as re-signing James Trafford on loan from Manchester City for a further season.
And Ian Evatt has hinted there could be further business before the transfer window slams shut on Thursday night.
Wanderers are interested in the 26-year-old forward, according to journalist Darren Witcoop.
QPR are said to be planning to send Bonne out on loan, with Ipswich Town and Shrewsbury Town also interested in his services.
Bonne scored 12 goals in 46 matches during a loan spell at Portman Road last season as the Tractor Boys finished 11th in League One.
Kieran McKenna’s side have made a strong start to the new campaign, winning four of their opening six league matches, and are currently in second place.
Bonne admitted in a recent interview with East Anglian Daily Times that he had “unfinished business” at Ipswich.
The forward has made four appearances so far this term, with his only start coming against Charlton Athletic in the Carabao Cup opening round.
He came through the ranks at Colchester United and also had spells with Leyton Orient and Charlton among others before making the move to Loftus Road.
Evatt has plenty of options in the final third, having added Dion Charles and Jon Dadi Bodvarsson to his squad during the January window.
Dapo Afolayan and Amadou Bakayoko both reached double figures last season, while Elias Kachunga started up front against Plymouth Argyle at the weekend.
However, Wanderers have found the net five times in League One since the start of the new campaign. Aaron Morley and Kyle Dempsey have each scored twice, while one goal came from Bradley at wing-back.
Bodvarsson is currently sidelined by a hamstring strain, having missed the recent defeats against Aston Villa and Plymouth.
