CONOR Bradley is just loving being a part of the gang at Wanderers.
The Liverpool loanee has quickly shown his quality in League One, scoring twice in his first five games, the latest of which was a winner against Morecambe on Tuesday night.
Bradley admitted to some nerves coming to Bolton in what was his first move away from the Reds Academy.
But now the 19-year-old is feeling right at home with the Whites, and hopes to progress his game under Ian Evatt this season.
“I think before the first few games I was nervous,” he told The Bolton News. “Now I am feeling more comfortable among the lads so I am definitely getting better, game by game, and hopefully it continues that way.
“The support all the way through at Bolton is unbelievable. They never stop singing, do they? It has been brilliant and scoring in front of them was superb, too.”
Bradley popped up in the penalty box at the end of the first half to tuck away a lay-off from Jon Dadi Bodvarsson and break Morecambe’s stubborn resolve at the UniBol.
The fixture has had a stormy recent history – and Bradley delighted Bolton supporters by copying Amadou Bakayoko’s famous ‘finger on lips’ celebration after his late equaliser at the Mazuma Stadium last season.
“I know what had happened in the past, so that was a part of it,” he grinned.
“That’s my second. I am buzzing. I try to get myself into the box and thankfully it fell for me and I managed to tuck it away.”
Playing in League One has been an adjustment for the Northern Ireland international, who had already made a mark on the first team at Anfield before Jurgen Klopp allowed him to leave on loan.
But the youngster says he has been given a helping hand by a former blue – ex-Everton defender Gethin Jones, now vice-captain at Wanderers.
“It has probably been the physical side of things that has surprised me a bit but I feel like I have dealt with it well,” he said of playing in the third tier.
“Coming here I knew it would be a big step but obviously the gaffer has helped me, but Geth (Jones) has been a massive help too during the games, so it has helped me already.
“I am loving playing with him, those triangles on the right-hand side. He helps me a lot, talks me through the game, gives me bits of advice during games.”
