Former Wanderers goalkeeper Remi Matthews has joined Scottish side St Johnstone on a season-long loan from Crystal Palace.
Matthews started his career at Norwich and went on to have loan spells at Burton, Doncaster and Plymouth among others before heading to the UniBol.
The goalkeeper joined the Whites in 2018, initially on a loan deal before making the move permanent five months later.
He made 58 appearances in total, opting to stick with the club during their problems off the pitch in 2019.
Matthews eventually left the UniBol at the end of his contract the following summer after Wanderers were relegated to the fourth tier.
The 28-year-old went on to have a stint at Sunderland before making the move to Crystal Palace last summer.
His only appearance last term came for the Under-21 side in a 3-0 defeat against Sutton United in the Papa John’s Trophy.
The Saints have also brought in Millwall defender Alex Mitchell on a similar loan deal ahead of the upcoming season.
The club said it was "delighted" to have brought in both players in an official statement.
Callum Davidson’s men escaped relegation from the Scottish top-flight on the final day last season following an emphatic win against Inverness.
Matthews could feature on Saturday afternoon when the Saints kick off their campaign with a home fixture against Hibernian.
