Wanderers midfielder Ronan Darcy has joined League Two side Swindon Town on a two-year deal.
Darcy impressed during a two-week trial with the Wiltshire club, who finished sixth in the fourth tier last season.
The youngster had been offered the chance to continue his development in the Whites' B Team set-up but it is understood he wanted the assurance of regular senior football.
Here is what fans had to say on social media about the move
Best of luck to him, real shame it never worked out, atleast we got some sort of fee.

All the best ronan. Hopefully you will get the game time you need and work your way up the leagues!!

And then there was none. With Darcy leaving, the lowest average-aged team in Bolton’s history have all now gone their separate ways. They’ll always be appreciated for their efforts in that desperate time of need. Wish them well in all their future, individual careers🤍 #bwfc https://t.co/BIycF2o7DB

Good luck Ronan. Gutted you didn’t get your shot in the first team. Will never forget that squad you were part of when we were in the gutter. Swindon you’ve got yourself a good little player here. Look after him.
