Former Wanderers defender Harry Brockbank has completed a move to Irish club St Patrick's Athletic.
Brockbank joined the Whites’ youth ranks at the age of seven and went on to make 36 first-team appearances.
Away from the pitch, he also served as the club’s mental health ambassador – working to help groups in the local community.
The Bolton-born defender was released in January to pursue an opportunity with El Paso Locomotive in the United States.
However, the 23-year-old cut ties with the USL Championship side after a three-month spell in Texas and was searching for a new club.
Speaking back in May, he told The Bolton News: “I think I jumped the gun a bit too early in going out there. I did in the hope it would work out, unfortunately things didn’t.
“I had another year on my contract with Bolton and maybe I should have stayed on? Maybe I could have gone out on loan? I don’t know.
“But I don’t look back with any regret. I could just as well have gone out and absolutely loved it. Now I just want to get back and get playing here.”
Brockbank will now link up with former Bolton team-mate Eoin Doyle, who left the UniBol to join the Irish club back in January.
Doyle has managed nine goals in eight appearances this season after scoring in a 3-0 victory against Drogheda last night.
Tim Clancy’s side are currently fourth in the League of Ireland, having taken 35 points from 23 games.
