WANDERERS will welcome Huddersfield Town to the UniBol in a pre-season friendly on Saturday, July 23 (KO 3pm).

The match will be the Whites’ only home fixture during their preparations for the upcoming League One campaign, which begins seven days later.

The Terriers finished third in the Championship last season, narrowly missing out on promotion after losing to Nottingham Forest in the play-off final at Wembley.

Ian Evatt’s men will also face Stockport County on Tuesday, July 5 in a behind-closed-doors match at a neutral venue due to pitch renovation work at both stadia.

The Hatters are preparing for life back in the Football League after clinching the National League title last term.

The club has also confirmed that Wanderers’ new B Team will wrap up their pre-season plans with a trip to Northern Premier League outfit Warrington Town on Tuesday, August 2 (KO 7:45pm).

The new side has been launched in an attempt to bridge the gap between youth and first-team football and will be managed by Matt Craddock.

Meanwhile, the 2022/23 fixtures will be released on Thursday, June 23 as Evatt's men aim to build on their strong finish last season.
