LIAM Gordon has thanked Wanderers' fans for their support after his release at the club last week.
The full-back was one of eight professional players told their contract would not be renewed for last season.
In an exclusive interview with The Bolton News, Gordon says he was taken aback by the number of people who reached out to him on social media.
“There is such a massive support, it means a lot that I was able to make some connection,” he told us.
“I didn’t expect as many messages when I left, so I have to thank every one of them for giving me the chance to be a part of it all.
“I pray Bolton get promotion next season and I will always look out for their results now.”
Despite having a few options from which to choose, Gordon does not want to rush his next move after leaving the UniBol.
“I’m going on 23 now and I think this will be one of the most important decisions I make,” he said. “I want to push up that league ladder and build on what I did with Bolton.”
