HORWICH Cycling Club organised a hugely successful North West Cyclo Cross Association round at Broughton Hall, Skipton.
The club were delighted to attract more than 450 riders to the event to take part in races from Under-eights to the Veteran 50 category.
Positive feedback was received throughout the day from riders who relished tackling the undulating and challenging course.
The weather was kind as well as a balmy 11 degrees celsius made the conditions great for both riders and spectators and it turned out to be a memorable occasion
Despite a busy day for the Horwich members, four team-mates managed to compete in both the veteran and senior race.
Joseph Heywood was 15th in the Vet-50s, Phil Marsden was eighth in the Vet-40s, Benjamin Horrobin was eighth in the seniors and Horwich’s youngest rider, Daniel Porter, took home his best performance of the series, finishing second in the seniors despite only being a junior.
