WANDERERS midfielder Jay Fitzmartin has announced he has signed his first professional deal with the club.
The Leigh-born winger has been with the club since the age of 11 and made his senior debut for the Whites against Bradford City in September 2019.
He spent the whole of last season playing for the club’s Under-18s and confirmed via social media that he has now penned a senior contract.

The former St Mary’s High School pupil played junior football for Eastleigh and Atherton Town before earning an academy scholarship.
Fitzmartin was one of four second-year scholars offered deals in the summer, alongside Finlay Lockett, Ryan Colvin and Luke Hutchinson.
Lockett indicated on social media that he had agreed a new contract but there has not yet been any confirmation from the club.
