WANDERERS have re-signed midfielder Will Buckley – 17 days after they released him!
The former Sunderland and Brighton man was told earlier this month that his short-term contract would not be renewed.
He then spoke to Bradford City about a deal until the end of the season but has now been offered a route back into the Bolton fold.
The 30-year-old made five appearances earlier this season but was side-lined by a fractured kneecap and made a brief return from the bench in the 4-3 home defeat to Burton Albion.
Previously he played two full campaigns at Wanderers, making 60 appearances and scoring six goals.
Speaking earlier this month Buckley said the mood around the club had improved under new ownership and that he was keen to stay on.
“We can see with the new owners the direction they want the club to go in, and day-to-day they have been there to help us,” he said. “We haven’t had that for a few years.
“It gives you a bit of extra motivation because you are working for good people.
“It gives you that little bit more to push for someone who you feel is working for you too.”
