GOALKEEPER Jake Turner has been snapped up by Newcastle United after leaving Wanderers this summer.
The 20-year-old was not offered a new contract by the Whites’ administrators and will now link up with Magpies’ Under-23s squad.
The former England youth international had loan spells at Stalybridge Celtic and Darlington last year and was on the bench for Bolton on the final day of the Championship campaign.
“It’s excellent for me, and I can’t wait to get started,” Turner told Newcastle’s official website.
“Stepping up to a Premier League club is massive. We’ll see where I progress – playing in the Premier League is a dream – so we’ll see what happens.
“It’s a massive club, and I can’t wait to get going here.”
