BURNDEN members made a strong challenge in several age groups at the latest in the Sale Sizzler 5K series.
Gwen Kinloch was again first F55, crossing the line in 20:38 and there was a string of second places in other categories.
Steve Nolan, the fastest Burnden runner on the night, was second V55 in 18:02, Lyndsay Darbyshire was second F50 in 21:46, Anne Ferguson second F60 in 21:54 and Mel Walker second V75 in 25:03. Andy Dunleavy was third V60 in 19:56.
Paul Duke (18:24) and Pete Hopley (18:46) made it three members who finished under 19 minutes.
