AMIR Khan was named WBC International welterweight champion after Billy Dib's corner threw in the towel in the fourth round of their fight.
The Jeddah crowd were entertained before the fight with a performance from rapper Tyga and also during the fight as Khan showed his infamous hand speed in the four rounds the fight went.
Dib, who stepped up from super-featherweight to fight the Bolton man, was put down twice in the fight - once in the second round and once in the fourth round before Dib's corner had seen enough.
The Bolton star looked sharp from the off as his opponent struggled to connect with anything that would put Khan off from coming forward.
Khan came out with lots of confidence against the Australian, who came up two weight divisions for the fight, and hit his man with punishing body shots.
The former world champion first knocked Dib down in the second round after putting together a nice combination which stunned the Australian.
After surviving the third round, Dib's corner wanted their man out of there as Khan had put him on the canvas once again.
This win in front of the Saudi Arabian crowd will help the Bolton man forget his woes last time out against Terence Crawford in New York and could open doors for a fight against Manny Pacquiao.
