BURNDEN’S women dominated the second of the three-race Horwich Jubilee Series.
Gwen Kinloch, Lyndsay Darbyshire and Anne Ferguson all won their age groups and their combined placings earned them third place in the team standings.
Kinloch completed the five-mile road course in 34mins 10secs to take the L55 prize, with Darbyshire’s time of 36:12 taking the L50 section and Ferguson winning the L60 group in 36:43.
Louise Wall was second L55 in 45:54.
Lee White was the first club member to finish, 27th overall in 31:49, followed closely by Richard Pollitt in 33:00.
Francis Mackin was first V70 in 43:25, with Phil Glassbrook second in the same category in 49:33.
Tony Wall was second V60 in 36:11 and John Edge second V65 in 39:37.

Gareth Doherty led the Burnden turnout at the Race the Train event from Bury to Rawtenstall, a run of 11 miles with a steam train shadowing runners all the way carrying supporters to the finish.
Doherty completed the course in 1:23:26, while Anne Ferguson was first F60 in 1:28:41.

Sarah Woodiwiss continued her amazing ultra-running exploits by completing the tough Pennine Barrier 50-Mile event, covering the demanding course in 14:07:00.
Tim Taylor and David Morrison tested their fell-running prowess at the four-mile Aggies Staircase event with 350 metres of climb, starting at Darwen Leisure Centre. Taylor finished in 43:34 and Morrison in 47:05.
Andrea Newton completed the Crazy Cow 10k race at Avenham Park, Preston, in 1:24:25.
