WANDERERS ran the rule over two Manchester United players in the development squad’s 3-3 draw with Barnsley last night.
Defender Tyrell Warren made his second appearance for David Lee’s side, joined on this occasion by Reds team-mate DJ Buffonge, who supplied Bolton’s first goal.
The winger – full name Darren Raekwon McIntosh-Buffonge – started in Arsenal’s academy and then moved to Fulham, where he attracted the attention of United.
Able to play anywhere in midfield, the 20-year-old became a regular at reserve team level under Ricky Sbragia and has played 11 times this season, scoring three goals.
Like Warren, his contract expires in the summer, and Wanderers were able to take a closer look at him in what proved an entertaining 90 minutes at Leyland.

Lee also gave a chance to Harrison Davis, a 19-year-old former Southampton defender/midfielder who has been playing with Tiverton Town.
Wanderers trailed 1-0 at half time before Buffonge brought them level midway through the second period. Joe Pritchard and Ayo Tanimowo looked to have put Bolton into an unassailable lead with eight minutes to go but Chris Sang and Amir Bekovits salvaged a point for the Tykes at the bitter end.
