JAKE Turner has joined Northern Premier League outfit Stalybridge Celtic on loan until January.
The highly-rated 18-year-old, who has won caps at youth level with England, was denied his first taste of competitive senior football when the Celts’ weekend clash with Warrington Town fell foul of the weather.
Wilmslow-born Turner could be handed a debut for Steve Burr’s side in this Saturday’s game at Nantwich Town but will still be available to play for Wanderers’ Under-23s if needed, due to the terms of the deal.
Ex-Wanderers academy defender Callum Spooner – son of Under-18s coach Nicky - has also signed for Glossop North End in the Northern Premier, making his debut at Colwyn Bay at the weekend.
Alex Perry - who has been at Sutton Coldfield - will also spend time with Glossop in the next few weeks on a youth loan.
