BARR Hill made it three wins out of three to go to the top of the Bolton at Home Sunday League Division Two, but they had to fight all the way as Bolton Town put up a good fight before Luke Jones' last-minute goal.
Bolton Town started the game better and they took a well-deserved lead in the 10th minute thanks to a superb goal by the ever-reliable John Yates.
The goal seemed to wake up Salford side Barr Hill and in the 20th minute they got an equaliser through Josh Mackay.
Five minutes before half time, Bolton Town's John Yates was brought down in the penalty area before brushing himself down and coolly slotting home.
The scoreline stayed the same until the 70th minute when Barr Hill's Max Camilleri found himself with only the goalkeeper to beat and coolly beat Bolton Town's goalkeeper to make it 2-2.
Bolton centre-half Michael Entwistle was man of the match but even his heroics could not prevent Jones' last-gasp winner.
One of the pre-season title favourites for Division Two, Westhoughton FC, travelled to Walkers to play the much-improved Bolton Rangers and won 7-0.
Their goals came from Richard Pursehouse (two), Callum May (two), Ben Howarth, Callum Roberts and a own goal.
The final game in Division Two was an entertaining affair between Wellington FC and Heaton Casuals which ended in a 3-3 draw.
All the Wellington goals came from their star striker Brad Jackson, with Gareth Johnson (two) and Adam Handley on the scoresheet for the Casuals.
In Division One, Paul Davies's Farnworth United had a point to prove after their last outing when they lost heavily to Queen Anne and this week they entertained Astley Bridge Elite at Ladybridge, drawing 2-2.
Farnworth started the game superbly and straight from the kick off they scored through John Stephenson.
Astley Bridge took time settling into the game but with 20 minutes gone they got their equaliser through Chris McCaughtrie.
And on 35 minutes they took the lead as Joe Howlin rounded the keeper to score.
Farnworth levelled just before half time when full-back Dec Hobson rifled home a 25-yard effort.
The scores remained the same but Astley Bridge could have snatched all three points had it not been for a fine save by Farnworth stopper Gaz Bentley to keep out McCaughtrie's spot-kick.
Reigning champions Queen Anne remain unbeaten after an 8-2 home triumph against newly-promoted Newbury.
Gaz Cunniff scored four, while Stuart Schofield bagged a brace and other goals came from Dev Sutherland and Jamie Haze.
Newbury goals came from a Haze own goal and Dominic Sharples.
Elsewhere, Adlington side Bridge Celtic travelled to Harper Green to play Dehaviland FC and in a game that was end to end from the start to finish they took the points with a excellent 5-4 victory.
Bridge Celtic goals came from Jake Ross (two), Curtis Pilgrim, Kane Wilkinson and a Danny Chadwick own goal, while Glen Mathews (two) and Danny Kerrigan (two) replied for Dehaviland.
The other game in Division One saw Little Hulton side Top Club beat Manny Road 6-1 at home.
Their goals came from Travis Vaughn (two), Adam Doyle (two), Mark Ridings and Tom Jones, while Charlie Helsby scored a consolation penalty for Manny Road.
