WEST Ham United star Mark Noble has blasted Wanderers after their 3-0 defeat at the London Stadium.
The midfielder claims Phil Parkinson’s side targeted ex-Manchester United striker Chicharito after he came on to the pitch with 20 minutes to go on Tuesday night.
The Mexican striker did go down clutching his ankle 10 minutes before the end as a result of a foul from Wanderers debutant Jeff King but emerged unscathed and should be free to take his place in the Hammers squad set to face Tottenham this weekend.
But Noble claims the attention given to his team-mate was over the top.
“Yeah, he came on and got kicked about eight times,” he said in the Daily Star.
“I’m pretty sure their lads wanted to say ‘I’ve booted Chicharito’.
“These nights are always tough obviously playing a Championship side, obviously they’re struggling a little bit in the league but you know what you’re going to get.
“But to be honest it was nice for him (Hernandez) to get out there again at home and as we’re fine with no injuries we’re looking forward to Saturday.”
