WANDERERS Ladies avenged their league defeat against Morecambe by booking a place in the quarter finals of the County Cup.
Trailing 1-0 at the break, the Whites wrestled back control of the game with a brace from Ruby Howard.
Top-scorer Mitch Kirkman-Ryan also got on the scoresheet before a second goal from the visitors set up a nervy finish at the Kensite Stadium.
Returning striker Emma Pilling calmed things down with a good finish late on to seal victory.
Wanderers have been drawn against local rivals CMB in the women’s FA Cup third qualifying round. CMB had a fine 2-1 win over Tranmere at the weekend.
The reserve team registered their first win of the season as two first-half goals from Naomi Greene put them into an unassailable position.
Leeds pulled one back from the penalty spot but the Whites held on comfortably to get off the mark in the league.
Elsewhere, there was a 4-4 draw for the new Under-15s team at Stockport and another emphatic win for the Under-14s, who beat Lytham 8-0.
