IT was a relief to get down to the Macron to watch some football after yet another week of financial turmoil.
An adjourned winding-up order, staff not getting paid and a verification order granted to be able to buy a piece of land to be able to sell a car park to pay the tax man. How are we mere mortals to understand what on earth is going on?
The most asked and most unanswered question in the Fanzone was ‘Have you heard anything?’.

Mark Davies, Liam Trotter and Darren Pratley gelled well in midfield and put in a very controlled and disciplined performance.
Two competitive wins in succession hasn’t happened since November 2014, within the first month of when Lennon took over.
We’ve got a fighting chance of avoiding relegation but the odds are still against us.
We’ve got to survive the transfer window. We’ve got to remain financially afloat. We’ve got to improve our away form.
It’s a very big ask but the fans are up for it and the players seem to be as well.
There’s a tremendous spirit building up at the Macron with the Supporters' Trust getting off the ground. Figureheads like John McGinlay and Kevin Davies are showing their passion for our club, despite being badly treated in the past.
The players do not want to jump ship but prefer to stay and fight for our club.
Sacrifices beyond our control may yet have to be made but the fans are beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel. Come on Messrs Davies, Birch and Robinson, work your financial wizardry and give us a future. We’ll do the rest!
