WANDERERS have confirmed Slovenian defender Matija Boben will remain with the club until the end of the season.
The 20-year-old centre-half played for the development squad against Reading on Monday night and has officially joined on loan from NK Ivancna Gorica.
Neil Lennon wants Under-21 coach Iain Brunskill to run a rule over the Slovenia youth international over the coming months before deciding on whether a permanent deal can be done in the summer.
“Iain brought him in to take a look at him,” he told The Bolton News.
“We just want to add to the squad and he’s played at a decent level in Slovenia.
“He’s only young but he’s a big lad, we’ll keep him here until the end of the season and then see how he goes.”
Boben’s arrival takes the total number of loanees at the club to seven, including Kevin McNaughton, Saidy Janko, Barry Bannan, Adam Le Fondre, Simeon Slavchev, Ben Amos and Rochinha.
