WANDERERS are preparing themselves for a bid for midfielder Mark Davies on transfer deadline day.
Sources at the club report that a “couple of calls” have been received this morning about the 26-year-old play-maker, who is available for around £3million.
Davies has not played for the Whites since March and has been sidelined since pre-season with a fractured toe.
Burnley, Leicester and Swansea were all linked with him over the summer but the stories were dismissed at the time as “agent talk.”
It now remains to be seen whether a firm bid is received, which could potentially give Dougie Freedman some scope to bring in new players before tonight’s 11pm deadline.
