TIM Ream has been called back into the international fold, just two months after his World Cup snub by the US.

The Wanderers defender has been included in Jurgen Klinsmann’s squad for a friendly against the Czech Republic in Prague on September 3.

Although the squad is made up primarily of Europe-based players, it presents a big chance for Ream – last season’s player of the year with the Whites - to stake a claim for a more regular spot.

His last call-up was for a friendly against Ukraine in March but he was forced to withdraw because his wife was due to give birth to their first child.

He trained with former club New York Red Bulls to stay in top shape before this summer’s tournament in Brazil but missed out on Klinsmann’s first cut.

Medo Kamara (Sierra Leone) and Adam Bogdan (Hungary) were also added to a list of eight players called up for international duty next week.

Bogdan has been included in Hungary's squad for their UEFA Euro 2016 qualifier against Northern Ireland in Budapest on September 7, while Medo could feature in Sierra Leone's Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixtures against the Ivory Coast and Congo on September 6 and 10 respectively.

Chung-Yong Lee (Korea), Yannick Bastos (Luxembourg), Conor Wilkinson (Ireland Under-21), Chris Lester (Northern Ireland u21) and Jamie Thomas (Wales u21) were called up earlier in the week.
