A newcomer to Coronation Street has already confirmed her exit from the show in a post to fans on social media.
Karen Rutherford, who is played by Lynn Kennedy revealed to viewers of the ITV show that she was signing off and would not appear again.
In a post on Instagram, featuring a selfie of the TV actor in her dressing room, she said: "And just like that, Karen’s off. Bye @coronationstreet it’s been amazing!"
Karen appeared at the Rovers Return Inn to warn Daisy, played by Charlotte Jordan, about her brother Justin's (Andrew Still) behaviour, leading to a darker storyline amid Lynn's exit.
A few weeks later on the ITV show, Justin was arrested after he returned to the Coronation Street pub with the intention of harming his sister with acid.
Daisy was saved when Ryan, played by Ryan Prescott, jumped in the way of the brutal attack.
This led to a trial over his actions, seeing Justin face justice for his crimes with a judge sentencing him at a later date.
Karen's name was brought up again when Ryan revealed to Daisy that someone had been catfishing him and pretending to be Crystal.
However, he is unaware that Daisy is actually behind the whole scheme but to cover for this she told a friend that Karen was responsible.
The verdict is in!
