THE stepfather of murdered five-year-old Dillon Hull has been jailed for drug dealing.
John Casey, previously known as John Bates, was the stepfather of Dillon, who was gunned down in Bankfield Street, Deane in 1997.
Casey had been the intended target of gangland hitman Paul Seddon. He had become a target after a row with drugs boss Billy Webb, who was murdered 13 years ago.
Casey, of Cromford Close in Halliwell, admitted possessing 2,000 diazepam tablets with intent to supply and possession of Class C drugs buprenorphine and phenazepam, Bolton Crown Court heard.
He also admitted handling five Yale locks stolen from a Homebase store.
Casey was arrested for the crimes on May 1 last year.
He was serving a 12-month jail term for driving while banned and going equipped for theft.
He was jailed at Preston Crown Court in October last year.
The 45-year-old was jailed by Recorder Harry Narayan for four months for the crimes, which will run consecutively to the sentence he is currently serving.
Seddon was jailed for a minimum of 25 years for Dillon’s murder and the attempted murder of Casey in 1998.
