Three men have been arrested after a night of terror on the streets of Farnworth over the weekend.

A 52-year-old has been arrested in connection to the incident on Parkfield Avenue in Farnworth – while a 20-year-old and a 30-year-old have been arrested in connection with an incident on premises in Vernon Street.

The Bolton News reported over the weekend how armed police were called to Farnworth after three incidents which involved a suspected gunshot, a crash between two vehicles and a car being driven into an address.

The disorder began on Saturday just after 5pm after a suspected firearm discharge on Parkfield Avenue in Farnworth.

Shortly afterwards, officers were called to further disturbance on Bradford Road where a vehicle has driven into another vehicle. The third incident in the area occurred when a car was driven into an address on Lavender Road.

Later at 6.30pm officers responded to a disturbance at a pub on Vernon Street in Bolton.

It was reported three men had entered the pub, one of them armed with a suspected firearm. It was not discharged, and no injuries were reported.

The incident is not believed to be connected to wider disturbances on Parkfield Avenue and Lavender Road in Farnworth but police say they are keeping an open mind.
