THE one probable question that probable is on the lips of most Bolton fans is what will be the starting 11 for the first game against Burnley, writes Jack Cook of Rossendale.
Will it be an experienced starting 11 or full of youngsters? Well, this year could be the year where youngsters like Sordell, Alonso, Riley and Vela may shine.
Alonso has struggled with injuries for most of the time he has been at Bolton but this year I feel he could make the left-back spot his own and another youngster in defence is young Joe Riley. He make a bright start when he made he debut against Stoke City last season but then faded out the first team at the end of last season, but I feel these two could challenge to start in defence this season.
Another young midfielder is Josh Vela, who I feel looks very tidy, and he could show everyone what he is capable of this season in a position that every season Bolton seem to struggle with.
Finally the striker who we paid £3m-plus for last season, Marvin Sordell. This year will be a very important season if wants to prove how good of a striker he is.
This year I feel he could lead Bolton to championship glory, maybe getting into the Olympic squad may give him the lift he needs to lead Bolton Wanderers back to the Premier League where they belong.
So only time will tell if these youngsters will start in the Bolton team this season, but they could all soon prove to be key players in this Bolton team and prove to make Bolton a stronger team in years to come.
