JUSSI JAASKELAINEN 10 - Faultless in everything he did in the first 87 minutes, he surpassed himself with two penalty saves in as many minutes to secure a famous victory.
NICKY HUNT 8 - Another impressive performance by the full-back - once more against a tricky opponent.
ABDOULAYE FAYE 6 - Soldiered on until half time but had to be taken to hospital for checks after taking a stunning blow on his head in a collision with Jaaskelainen.
ABDOULAYE MEITE 8 - Again a tower of strength at the back. Made an important goal-line block to deny Nonda in the first half.
TAL BEN HAIM 8 - Impressive at left-back in the first half, he was just as effective in the centre where he replaced the injured Faye.
KEVIN NOLAN 6 - His passion and commitment were channelled in the right direction until the frenetic closing minutes.
IVAN CAMPO 7 - Took his goal well, evading his marker to plant a header home.
GARY SPEED 6 - An important goal-line clearance first half, he did well to squeeze every ounce of energy and effort out.
KEVIN DAVIES 6 - So determined to shine against his former club. The effort was there but the chances just didn't fall his way.
NICOLAS ANELKA 7 - Prominent in the first half, when he featured in a handful of dangerous breaks; did well in the second.
EL-HADJI DIOUF 7 - Hit the post, survived a penalty appeal against him at the end of the first half and failed in a claim for one himself.
