GARY Speed and Jussi Jaaskelainen have been acknowledged as top Premiership performers after helping Wanderers surge into third place in the table.
The Reebok duo, who are among the most respected of top flight performers, have been named in the Actim Premiership team of the month for September.
Speed and Jaaskelainen scored consistently high marks in the Actim Index as Wanderers won three and drew one of their four league games.
Team of the month: Jaaskelainen (ranked 27th overall); Eboue (Arsenal, 29th), Ridgwell (Aston Villa 9th), Sonko (Reading, 66th), Barry (Aston Villa, 3rd), Pedersen (Blackburn, 48th), Essien (Chelsea, 21st), Speed (10th), Bentley (Blackburn, 53rd), Drogba (Chelsea, 2nd), Johnson (Everton, 1st).
