PREMIER Division leaders Ramsbottom A maintained their title charge with a 7-2 victory over Wharton.
Mick Moir trebled, as did Phil Bowen for second- placed Flixton, who have a match in hand and are 13 points adrift of top spot after beating Little Lever A 6-3.
Ramsbottom B recorded an 8-1 victory over Radcliffe, which featured trebles by Brian Clements and Paul Cicchelli, and Ladybridge A beat bottom team Ramsbottom D by the same score with three wins by Dave Bolton and Andy Evans.
Ian Quinn was unbeaten for Burning Desire, who lost 5-4 at Hilton A.
After winning their two outstanding matches both with a 7-2 scoreline and taking maximum points from Hilton C this week, Nomads B are the new leaders of Division One. Their three unbeaten players against Hilton were Lee Devenport, Frederic Turban and Andy Kaye.
Little Lever B, who fielded an under strength team, drop to second after a surprising 5-4 loss at Heaton B, whose Duncan Kay won three.
Three wins by Alan Bradbury and two by his brother, John, gave Wingates a 5-4 win at Nomads C, while a treble by Terry Smith helped Standish to a 6-3 victory at Coburg.
Heaton A beat Hilton B 8- 1withthreewinsbyPaul and Matt Ward. Nomads A beat Meadow Bank by the same score with treblesbyDennisCollier and Sean Tolland.
Top Division Two team Farnworth A beat two- man Little Lever C 7-2 and are now seven points ahead of St Catherine’s B with a match in hand.
St Catherine’s stayed second with a 6-3 win at Hilton E, which featured three wins by Paulina Orzechowska.
Heaton C suffered a comprehensive 8-1 loss at Hilton D whose Wieslaw Krzyewski and Tony Eardley won three each. Three wins by Daniel Harris and two by Sam Evans gave Farnworth B a 5-4 victory over Heaton D.
John Dodd was unbeaten for Meadow BEN A in their 6-3 win over Hilton F, as was Brian Greenhalgh for Ladybridge B, who won 7- 2 at Hilton G.
Meadow BEN B are five points ahead of St Paul’s Peel A on the top of Division Three following an 8-1 win at Irlam Steel, which featured trebles by Mike Audsley and James Bollard.
St Paul’s Peel A recorded a 6-3 win over Farnworth C with three wins by Gill Marsden. Malcolm Wilcock trebled for Hilton I who beat Boyzone 5-4, as did Graham Wilson for Hilton J, who were beaten by visiting Farnworth SC by the same score. Meadow Hill’s Roy Caswell, Jackie Smith and Roy Platt scored maximum points against bottom team Ladybridge C, and Hilton H won 7-2 at Walkden Meths with a treble by Brian Hall.
In Division Four, Harper Green scraped home 5-4 at BL&GC B with a treble by Arbaz Shubeer.
