Bradshaw girls hung on to their unbeaten record in the Lancashire Under-18s Club Doubles Winter League with a hardfought 18-15 win over Markland Hill.
Emily Digby and Anna Leatham won both of their matches for Markland Hill, but Rebecca Baldwin and Ella Standish recorded an emphatic 9-1 win in their final match to secure the victory.
Bellingham recorded their first three points of the season with a 20-17 victory over David Lloyd Bolton.
Marie Decadt and Iman Orthis won 13 games for David Lloyd. However both of Bellingham’s doubles teams won 10 games each to clinch the win.
Tyldesley stormed to another 40-plus score this week with an emphatic 43-7 victory over Holcombe Brook to stay in second spot just behind Bradshaw Hattie and Lulu Morley again played excellent tennis to win 25 of their 42 games. Abby Holt partnered Jenni Bailey to provide strong support.
David Lloyd, Bolton A, beat their Chorley counterparts 24-14 to notch their second successive win to stay in the top half of the Boys League. Tom Forrester with his new partner Victor had impressive 8-2 and 9-1 wins to ensure all three points went to Bolton A.
Markland Hill won their third match of the season with some convincing tennis to beat a below strength Holcombe Brook Stars 33-8 William Hart and Harry Neild lost only three games, winning 18.
Bellingham A and B teams faced each other over the net, with the A team proving too strong as they recorded a 37-5 win. Michael Birch and James Gleeson lost only one game and were ably assisted by Jake Hilton and Greg Broughton.
The win proved enough to move Bellingham A to the top of the league on game difference.
Holcombe Brook Comets beat David Lloyd Bolton B 27-13 to claim a second win of the season with both partnerships Max Barlow/Greg Collins and Lewis Booth/Daniel Gillan recording strong wins against the second pairing for David Lloyd Bolton. Richard Garcia and Sam Muller from David Lloyd Bolton won both their matches 5-3 and 6-5 to keep the match close.
Bradshaw cruised to another win, beating Lostock 31-10 but were dislodged from top spot on game difference.
Kieran Almond and Michael Hamer starred with 10-1 and 8-2 victories.
