Wanderers stay rock bottom of the Premier League table after slumping to yet another heavy home defeat against Chelsea.

The Londoners remain 16 games unbeaten against Bolton after putting the game well beyond sight by half time, with two goals apiece by Frank Lampard and former Reebok loanee Daniel Sturridge.

Dedryck Boyata pulled a goal back immediately after the break – his first for the club – but Lampard went to to complete his hat-trick and wrap up a simple victory for the Blues.

Wanderers made four changes to the side beaten by Arsenal last weekend, with Adam Bogdan replacing the injured Jussi Jaaskelainen in goal.

And it was to be a harrowing experience for the Hungary international. After conceding just 95 seconds into the game to a Sturridge header and exposed by some woeful defending for Lampard's first, he made two huge errors to give his side no chance of a result.

Sturridge's shot slipped through his grasp at the near post before another bouncing effort from David Luiz bounced off his body and allowed Lampard to make it four.

Boyata's header 60 seconds after the restart gave brief hope before Lampard combined beautifully with Didier Drogba to make it five for the afternoon and 21 conceded in the opening seven games of the season.
