MIGHT have given some credence to the argument that Fabio Capello’s difficulty in expressing himself in English makes him a liability had it not been Neil Warnock who raised the issue.
The QPR boss objected to the national coach saying it would be “dangerous” to pick Joey Barton – newly recruited to the Rangers’ ranks – because of his disciplinary record.
Inferring that Capello’s poor English could lead to misinterpretation and cause problems for players and club managers, Warnock claimed: “It’s dangerous to say things like that.”
And this coming from a bloke who has upset more of his fellow managers than you can swing a cat at – in perfect English!
