TEAM of the Year is usually one of the categories at the annual BBC television sports awards.
If there is any justice, the accolade should go next time to the English cricket team — currently Number One in the world test rankings.
Andrew Strauss, right, and his talented players beat the much-vaunted Indian team 4-0 in a four-match series that graced our summer and proved that test match cricket is by far the best form of the game.
The only thing is that cricket does not feature on BBC telly and I worry slightly that the obvious candidate might not win.
Having said that, I cannot think of any other English sporting team that is a world-beater at the moment.
The national football team?
No, not really.
