LIVE and Unsigned competition champs The Lottery Winners will play Manchester Academy 3 on August 6.
The Leigh four-piece, who are made up of singer and guitarist Thom Rylance, Rob Lally on guitar, Alexandria Langford-Taylor on drums and Katie Lloyd on bass, will be supported by The Leftrights and My First Addiction.
The band finished recording their debut album, The Art Of Communication, in spring this year.
They are often compared to the Beach Boys, and Thom says: “I’d like to think so. We’re a harmony-based quartet and we steal a lot from the Beach Boys, but we’ve got a pretty vast sphere of influence. I’m into a lot of ’50s stuff, while our drummer’s into metal.”
Admission costs £6. Advance tickets can be booked via manchesteracademy.net or by ringing 0161 832 1111.
