Today marks the beginning of a new era for your favourite paper as it takes on a new name - The Bolton News.
For the first time in 139 years, the word "Evening" has been dropped from the title because we are now making the paper available throughout the day.
We believe the new name more accurately reflects the change in people's buying and reading habits.
It will still provide the same quality news, sport and information service that it has for generations of Bolton families.
But we recognise that readers want the information when it suits them - whether they want to catch up on the local news, are looking for a job, a house or car, or simply want to check the cinema times.
It will still be a bright and lively newspaper packed with exclusive stories about your community.
If you want to know what's going on at the Town Hall, Bolton Wanderers, your child's school, or down your street, it will still be the essential read it always has been.
Quite simply, if you want to know what's going on in Bolton, you need The Bolton News. No-one else provides the same depth of coverage.
Of course, we are always looking to improve the paper so watch out for some changes over the coming months. The name is changing but our commitment to the community and our readers will be as strong as ever.
Make sure you get your copy.
