SEVEN people were rushed to hospital following a nine car pile up on the M60, which caused severe tailbacks.
The motorway was closed for more than an hour as police and firefighters cut people from their cars and made the road safe.
A driver lost control of the car at just before 2pm yesterday.
Several other vehicles collided with the car, and then others crashed while trying to avoid the first accident.
Seven people were taken to Hope Hospital . None of them are believed to have been seriously hurt.
The motorway was re-opened later in the day.
