WANDERERS have confirmed that Jussi Jaaskelainen will be back in goal against Sunderland after a rare rest last weekend.
The Big Finn sat out his first league game in nearly a decade at Ewood Park after Adam Bogdan got the nod from Owen Coyle in the 1-0 defeat against Blackburn Rovers.
But the manager confirmed yesterday that Jaaskelainen will return between the sticks against the struggling Black Cats in his side’s penultimate home game of the season.
“Given the number of games he has played in a short period of time, I told him we were going to give young Adam a game at Blackburn and being the professional he is, Jussi was very comfortable about it,” he said.
“At the end of the day, those are the decisions you make as a manager, and they were made for the right reasons.”
