THE two promoted teams in Division One both completed the season on a winning note, with top team Ramsbottom D winning 5-4 at Wingates and Ladybridge A beating Heaton D 7-2.
There were two wins by Martin Holt and Neil Booth for Ramsbottom with the Bradbury brothers winning two apiece for Wingates. Ladybridge’s Dave Scowcroft and Dave Bolton were unbeaten.
Top-10 winner, Little Lever C’s John Hutchinson, scored his usual three in their 8-1 win over Hilton B.
Paul Tatlock added three.
Champions of Division Two, Heaton C, were unable to field three players and were soundly beaten by visitors Hilton C, whose Tony Eardley and Gary Hilton were unbeaten.
Hilton D, who were promoted in second spot, suffered a 6-3 loss at Farnworth TTC A whose Jordon Brookes trebled.
John Dodd and Mike Heaton trebled for BEN A who beat Heaton E 7-2.
A 6-3 win by St Cath’s C at Meadow Bank saw a treble for Paulina Orzechowski.
Heaton D beat Ladybridge B 6-3 with three wins for Paul McCormick.
In Division Three, Farnworth TTC B gained promotion for the second consecutive season after beating Hilton F, who finished third, 5-4.
The Hilton team just lost out to their G team in their push for promotion after both sides finished on 131 points. The G team were promoted having won one more match.
Farnworth’s Nathan Patel scored three wins with top 10 winner Roger Bertrand winning two for Hilton.
Walkden Meths beat Farnworth SC by the same score with three wins by Steve Kelsall while Hilton I overcame their H team 5-4 with a treble by Minh Le.
Boyzone are the Division Four champions, with Ladybridge C finishing in the second promotion spot.
Ladybridge beat Brass 7-2 and followed with a 6-3 defeat at Harper Green.
Against Brass, Colin Gregory trebled.
Hit and Hope’s top-10 winner Tim Fields was unbeaten along with teammate Dave Brookes in their 6-3 win at Hilton J.
Lads and Girls Club A beat their B team 8-1 with trebles by Ray Isherwood and Henry Stybelshi.
A number of matches remain outstanding in the Premier Division, but Ramsbottom A will finish top and Flixton CC runners-up.
Ramsbottom B’s 7-2 victory over Burning Desire included trebles by Brian Clements and Khamal Hussain.
Ron Pennington and Graham Coupe also trebled for Hilton A who beat Radcliffe CC by the same score.
Glenn Payne scored three for Wharton but his team lost 5-4 at Little Lever A, while Phil Riley was unbeaten for Ramsbottom C who beat St Cath’s B 6-3.
